HEAD START/EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Plan and implement daily developmental learning models for pre-school age children which provides for cultural, social economic backgrounds, emotional or physical disabilities, and individual style and pace of learning.
Ø Maintain a physical environment conducive to promoting optimal growth and development such as positive social interaction of pre-school children including eating with children.
Ø Develop and implement IEP's for all children including those with diagnosed disabilities.
Ø Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops and other career development and professional activities.
Ø Provide advice and support to teacher assistants and parent participants.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Current Child Development Certification (CDA) required; Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Candidate must have good verbal and written skills and knowledge of working with pre-school age children in an urban setting.

Ø Assist in the implementation of developmental appropriate reading programs that promote healthy, accepting attitudes.
Ø Assist in the development and implementation of developmental appropriate instructional programs to encourage parental involvement and knowledge base as their child's primary source of affection, care and learning.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED with two (2) years experience required; Child Development Certification (CDA) preferred. Good verbal and written skills and knowledge of working with pre-school age children in an urban setting a plus.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
FAMILY SERVICE WORKERS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Ensure coordination and delivery of services that promote family and community development.
Ø Develop community partnerships with agencies serving Head Start families.
Ø Provide advocacy for Head Start programs, including its children and families to promote positive public relations throughout the community
Ø Provide leadership in recruitment and enrollment activities.
Ø Organize and coordinate parent partnership programs.
Ø Provide assessment data regarding service effectiveness.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Associate or Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field; minimum two years of experience in related social service field required. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills and knowledge of working with pre-school age children in an urban setting.

Volunteer Opportunities
Anna Louise Inn Volunteers assist in the upkeep of the historical building. Specifically, we need volunteer painters. Additionally, the Inn accepts donations of clothing and personal care items for residents. For volunteer opportunities at the Anna Louise Inn, please contact Robin Stanley at 513.768.6909.
Early Childhood Education Volunteers help in preschool classrooms, as well as serve in other capacities in our preschools. Volunteers work closely with teaching staff to ensure safe, educational opportunities for our children.
If you are an early riser, you may want to volunteer at 7:00 a.m., or you may want to join us for the afternoon shift at 12:00 p.m. The children are transported back home starting at 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering in the classroom or in another capacity please join us anytime from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Early Childhood Education volunteers undergo a Tuberculosis test and a background check. An orientation of the program and day-to-day operations is provided.
